I started with a lengthy comment but deleted it because I got off topic.Some of my older posts are by other authors with permission but bad Word press conflicts show both the author and me as authors and settings refuse to save changes.As you stated, even those old blogs were scraped and posted elsewhere in full ,without due credit.Hopefully that plug-in will help.When I solve the last remaining technical problems with my blog I will delete those old posts from the data base and republish them with the corrections regarding the actual authors.

I’m actually researching different blog options for my website. I never knew that a scraping issue existed. I’m glad that you told everyone about this plugin and plan to utilize it as soon as I install a blog on my site. I have bookmarked this page. Hi Jennifer

Came across your blog while researching about Squidoo – thanks for a very useful blog!

I’ve been using RSS Footer for a while, and it definitely helps. Another tip I’ve found useful is, whenever you can, include a link to another page of your site within the first paragraph of each blog post. That way, if the scrapers only show the first hundred words, you still get a link (as long as they’re not filtering out the links)

I wanted to let you know about some new Digg insider info.

My Digg contacts tell me that they automatically bury any Digg posts that link to Squidoo and HubPage articles.

So do not submit your Squidoo or HubPage articles on Digg any more, they will just get buried.

Also, Stumble is hating on Squidoo too, Stumble a Squidoo page and since there are so many spamming Stumble with them you profile may get removed for Stumbling them.

Also my eBook is totally updated and now 100 pages, email me if you want the updated content and I have have an affiliate program you maybe interested in.

If you’re using WordPress version 2.6, click on Settings and then RSS Footer.

I don’t know about previous versions of WordPress.

For those people using Blogger (which I do for my main blog), you can do this a little bit by setting up a post footer. Go to Settings-Site Feed and include a post footer that has a link back to your blog.
