Thanks for sharing this great post… Now that I knew insurance has the highest CPC, I’m gonna to do something about… Just to share that I have some success with keyword like “lasik” ranking on first page with little effort. You are right in saying to rank for long long tail keywords…. For me, i add a little twist… by adding country/state to the main keyword to form a new keyword phrase – and i buy that domain name

What Google earns its crazy, they are making huge amounts of money from each advertiser, and they are keep growing with their advertising options (Youtube, video advertising on Google search results which i believe has a different bids..)

In fact i spent most of one day sending e-mails back and forth to a Google assistant who kept telling me I needed to do this, now do that, now do the other 🙁

i did everything asked of me, she told me I’d satisfied her criteria and she would now send it for final approval.

Yep! You guessed it, a basic E-mail , almost a copy of the original telling me that the site didn’t meet their criteria in their terms and conditions. They wouldn’t even let me delete this one small website in the ‘gardening’ niche of all things. I was told my account was permanently closed. End of matter – AARRGGHH 🙁

I too had the E-mail with those high ranking keywords, great that you put them in text format 🙂

I’ve snagged them, hope you don’t mind.

Bear in mind however that these stats are based on the search network, rather than the content network. The CPC can differ radically between them.
