Great video Jennifer. Took me a while to realize that I had to be in my Adwords account before the “website content” option would show up in the Adwords Tool.

Squidoo is far from dead. I have at least six of my lenses appearing on page 1 of Google for multiple keywords.

I discovered during the week that if I add a new lens to a featured lens module within my Squidoo authority site (PR4), then the new lens was automatically indexed by Google within 48 hours, sometimes within 24 hours, without my doing anything else. This happened to five lenses in a row, even though the content of the new lenses was very different to that of authority site. Squidoo is alive and well! It does reinforce your point, though, that Google is looking for depth and/or difference – not the same, superficial stuff.

Yes, that was a quick spin – you can probably do some development with that idea. The next step would be to check further on viability through all the channels to see if you can get paid with that long tail keyword.

I agree with you though. I am currently resisting spinning something without real meat in it. I keep thinking about real writers from the past – they were unique in that they wanted to bring something chewy to the world – today’s writer seems superficial in comparison

Jennifer – INCREDIBLE tip on finding the best keywords to write about and go after. I had seen the tool on Google for having it analyze existing websites for it’s top keywords but I never used it. This gives me an idea for my current website in that I can look at what Google thinks my website is about! Thanks for posting this! I’ll be checking out more of your videos and information.

Great video PotPieGirl. I think a lot of the people who go off on a forum rant about a technique/website being dead is actually someone baiting people to read their post. I still believe that squidoo is a great tool. I’ll keep putting the lenses up while it’s working. It does help considerably to do a bit of link building for each lens. hubpages does seem to get search engine rankings easier.
