I’m sure you’re aware that Google is modifying it’s results to the individual that searches and if they know that you have a preference for “potpiegirl.com” then that site is more likely to get a high ranking when searching for different terms.

If you ask me it is really annoying because it means that you will have to use sites like http://www.scroogle.org/cgi-bin/scraper.htm to test where your site ranks when everybody else is searching for something and even so it can’t take into account that Google is also doing the same thing to them when they search so they might have other “preference sites” that rank higher that they ought to.

I’m not saying that what you’re teaching is wrong because I definitely agree but when checking ranking one needs to take that part into account as well.
