Easy Way to Do HTML on Squidoo Lenses

Found a super video that shows a great and easy way to make links for your Squidoo lenses. Also a nifty idea for getting all your content on your lenses to look great. Ever struggled with making your words bold or underlined in HTML? You will love this video!

Making Links on a Squidoo Lens

A special thanks to Travis from Bum Marketing for making AND sharing this video.  He shows a simple way to make links for your lenses….and to make your words bold and in italics or ANY ol’ way you want the text on your Squidoo pages to look.  It’s as simple as type… then copy/paste.

Gotta love ANYTHING that makes all this internet marketing mumbo jumbo easier!

Don’t forget – if you’re never made a Squidoo lens, and want to learn how, you can get a FREE “How to Make a Squidoo Lens” ebook here.  It’s 50+ pages…and yes, I used lots of pictures and screen shots to make it easier to follow along.

I haven’t gotten into Squidoo yet so I must ask…you can’t do HTML right in a lens? I was under the impression you could…

Yes, you can type your HTML code right into the lens. Thing is, for those that are new, they are unfamiliar with the code to type to make their content look and do what they want. Using an editor like this makes it as easy as typing an email, then you just copy/paste it into your lens.

Thanks for reading!

Thanks so for posting this. I had seen this on Travis’ video and totally forgot about it. This time I bookmarked it.

Doing the HTML has a;ways been a pain to me on Squidoo. This is definitely a quick way to add those links. Squidoo is a big part of my niche businesses and this tool is going to speed up all those links I put in so often.

I also have other static sites that this will help in adding links into.

Thanks again! This is a huge time saver.

Ah that makes sense. I have all codes like that in its own notepad file; just “insert link here”. Kinda like my own cut/paste macro. lol

Thank you very much for your free book on squidoo lens making. It was very useful. I cannot wait to buy the 7 day marketing! Also thank you for mentioning Travis video on html stuff. I have spent 3 days trying to learn html. Getting there slowly but with Travis tutorial I can proceed with article writing sooner and learn more html later. You trully are good people and I trust your good intentions.

God bless.

I can’t enlarge the text size on Squidoo in my TEXT module…
I’ve tried to enter the text I would like to be bigger into an HTML editor, got the source code, and copied and pasted it into Squidoo….only to have Squidoo strip the code and my text wasn’t changed [size-wise] at all.
The bold, italics, and link stuff works…but not the text size change. Maybe it’s not supposed to happen…
Any thoughts?

If you don’t want to use the online version for editing html, open up your wordpress blog and use the editor. It’s easy and free!

Mark K.:

I tried doing what you said in Word Press. My text still remained what Squidoo wanted it to be.

Hi Potpiegirl.
How do a make a link to my marykay url? Also could you resend the “Squidoo lens creation for Newbies”. It was lost on the computer, and I tried to order it again and it says that I already have it, but I don’t . Thank you so much. Becky

I am having trouble getting a link to my signature on an article with ezine. I watched the video on FCK editor, but it isn’t working the same for me. What am I doing wrong? It seems to work just great for Travis. What’s with that?
