Does Your Make Money Online Blog Make Money?

Make Money Online Blogs = Annoying?

I read a great post the other day. It was talking about blogs in the make money online niche and how some of these blogs sell too much while others don’t sell enough. It was an interesting post to me – I totally enjoyed it. That is, until MY name came into the conversation! …continue reading – Does Your Make Money Online Blog Make Money?

Money Making Niche Sites – The SnowBall Effect

Money Making Niche Sites – Free Lesson

I don’t think it is any secret that PotPieGirl loves to make niche sites. I have a good bit of them and they are a source of consistent passive income for me each month. By passive, I mean that I did all the work on the front side, kicked them out of the nest to fly on their own, and now they bring me money each month…and I don’t have to do a thing. Are you interested in seeing a great way to get profitable ideas for your first, or your next, money-making niche site? …continue reading – Money Making Niche Sites – The SnowBall Effect

Gee Google, Thanks For The NON-Answer

Is THIS “Advice”?

Google came out and offered some inbound link advice yesterday. Google mentions how links TO your web page are one of the many ’signals’ to Google that decide on the importance of your site (or web page). Also included in those “signals” is the actual content found ON the web page. Ok, got that. Content and inbound links…. Not really a newsflash there…but ok. But then the Google blog post talks about WHO is linking to your web page. They don’t want links TO a web page from “spammy sites“. Okayyyyyy… I have some questions about that. …continue reading – Gee Google, Thanks For The NON-Answer

15 Million Reasons Why I Love Blogging

Think this is a true story?

I posted this in the Wealthy Affiliate forum tonight. Thought I’d share it here at PotPieGirl.com, too. Can’t wait to hear what you think of this story! Once upon a time, there was this 18 year-old in his college dorm room surfing the internet. He came across a now famous blogger who displayed a picture of himself holding a LARGE Google AdSense check. The 18 year-old thought, “Damn! I want to do that too!!!”

Learn To Love RSS Scrapers – I Do!

It is VERY common today for entire sites to built with the content found within RSS feeds from sites all over the net. In fact, there are tons of ‘automatic’ website builders that allow you to choose a keyword or two, press a button, and PRESTO – a complete website built on RSS feeds. While that may all be well and good (or not), there is another side to that story. What about the blogger who just had their post scraped to build that site?

Blog Exposure with Squidoo

In my opinion, Squidoo is an excellent platform to use to drive traffic to your blog (or blogs). Here at PotPieGirl.com, the traffic I get from Squidoo has a much lower bounce rate than other referral traffic sources. Visitors via Squidoo tend to not only spend longer on my site, but also read deeper than any of my other sources of traffic. Squidoo visitors actually spend, on average, 2 minutes longer than any other site visitors. All in all, Squidoo is an excellent way to increase the traffic to your blog!

How to Increase Blog Traffic with Social Communities

Social communities, like BlogCatalog or Twitter, are great resources to help you increase traffic to your blog and get more eyeballs on your content.
