Snow In Atlanta 2009

Hi all! I’ve been working super hard behind the scenes on stuff for my One Week Marketing members… and my fingers are KILLING me from typing so much. So, instead of typing one of my novel-length posts tonight, I decided to do a video to share some pictures of the snow storm we had here in NorthEast Atlanta this past Sunday (2-28-2009).

We were in it right along with ya’ last week here in North Georgia. My little one enjoyed the snow and was upset having to go to school the following day.

Sunshine -

Your kids had school Monday? Wow. Barrow County was closed. I’m actually surprised they weren’t closed Tuesday, too!

Here in Northern South Carolina, we had less snow than you, but oh it was so pretty! A nice treat, especially since we were without power only a couple of hours. With a full pot of coffee, I just love to watch it. We do not go out in it, though! lol

LOL! As a Wisconsinite I always laugh when southerners talk about getting snow. If you really like it that much, you could move up here and have days like that for 5 or 6 months straight!

Those flakes were big though. It is usually too cold for the flakes to stick together like that. I have only seen a few storms with flakes that big.

Jen…we love it when you give us glimpses into your life. Makes us feel like we know you even better. Thanks for sharing!

p.s. I don’t think I’ll ever be able to share pictures of snowfall in Chandler…..Arizona! LOL

Hey PotPieGirl…….Kind of cool contrast no doubt :)
Good reminder for me, i’m native from east coast of canada (usually a ton of snow!!!)…but live on the west coast now by the ocean…quite a bit different…

Cool to share those snowy moments!!!

Have a great week end =)

Now I know what happened to the snow we were supposed to get here in East Alabama. You got it all in Georgia! We got those big snowflakes from about 3 AM until noon but the temp stayed at 33 degrees the whole time. We got a little on the cars and trees and that was it. The sun came out at 1 o’clock and goodbye snow. We didn’t even get to make a tiny snowman. I still feel cheated but your pics made me feel a little better.

hey ppg,
I’m from New Jersey and that storm hit us pretty hard also! It was a whole lot of snow in a small amount of time! And just like you guys down south, one week later, it’s gone! Incredible! Right now it’s about 68 degrees here and ALL of the snow is gone! Like it never happened! Weird!

My sister from Texas called me during the snowstorm and it was 80 degrees down there! If that ain’t global warming I don’t know what is! LOL1 see ya!

Thanks, all! Glad you liked my little slide show!

What STILL amazes me that only six days later here outside Atlanta it was beautiful and sunny and almost HOT. 70 degrees +

Crazy!

I’m another Wisconsonite, but we got blasted with the same storm. Something like more than 12-15 inches – but it’s all gone too. It’s been raining here ALL DAY!! That’s the only time that I actually like snow – when it’s barely cold enough and it sticks to everything. It IS beautiful, isn;t it?
Jennifer – I take pictures EXACTLY like that too!! LOL Can’t help it !! Thanks for sharing!

Is there many hills around for some sledging?

We went the other week for some fun. Took us 4 hours to climb this ‘hill’ (mountain) and then a mad ride down with very little control.

I came across your blog from another site and it sounded recommended but well right clicking the right mouse button on your blog. It turns out your blog uses abusive javascript that hacks people’s browsers so their right mouse button doesn’t work on your page. This is one of the worst attrocities people do with javascript second only to using it to install malware on people’s PCs.

My cousin is in a college golf tournament this week in Jekyll Island ~ Georgia… not sure where you are from here, but thought of you! She said it’s not such great weather… which is weird because that is usually us in Chicago, but we are having great weather this weekend!!!

It’s great to read your blogs! Love them!

Great read. I wish I could write better. I can barely write a shopping list. :)

Yes, I’ve heard of Counter Culture Coffees out of North Carolina. I was impressed because I understand they import beans from all over the world, but only with those companies who pay their workers fair wages! Take my order, I definitely want to try it.
