Google Page Rank Update – May 1, 2008

Check your Page Rank bars, folks… looks like Google has updated their Page Rank again today! The last Google PageRank update was February 29th and now we have another – only two months later. Nice!

While Page Rank is far from the most important thing in internet marketing, it definitely has it’s place in marketing strategies. The last Page Rank update gave PotPieGirl.com a PR3 – but none of that PR was spreading throughout the site. This update, I am seeing a decent PR flow from page to page. This is a nice little indicator that I’m doing something right…haha!

Page Rank Update for Squidoo Lenses

Many of my newer niche sites have seen a NICE boost in Page Rank and my Squidoo lenses (all 100 or so of them) are seeing decent PR, too. My best performing Squidoo lens on Home Energy Conservation went from a PR5 to a PR6! Nice!

Over-all, the majority of my Squidoo lenses have a PR 3 with a few enjoying a PR4. This makes for nice linking opportunities to my own niche sites (which explains the nice PR on my niche sites, too!)

I have no doubt that I will be spending the rest of the night analyzing the updated Page Ranks for my sites. I like to try and figure out why what web page got a certain PR, what links I suspect are passing value, and seeing how Page Rank spreads throughout my sites.

I’m a geek that way! haha!
