It’s Christmas… Again!
Where Does The Time Go?
It’s so hard to believe that Christmas is here already, isn’t it? Where does the time go? Seems like just yesterday I was typing out last years Christmas post here at PotPieGirl.com or my Christmas post in 2008 …. time sure flies! I know I have enjoyed every second of it – I just wish it didn’t all pass by so quickly.
Things have been crazy in PotPieGirl-Land these past few months. While David and I were building all the training and forum and stuff over at Power3Marketing my hubby and I had bought a new house and were busy remodeling it. Finally, about 2 weeks ago, it was ready to move in to so we went about the (not) fun process of moving. I really, REALLY wanted to be in the new house for Christmas…and we did it. It was no easy feat, but mission accomplished =)
Believe it or not, I am just about ready for Christmas, too (which is good thing since Christmas is TOMORROW!) I have a yearly tradition of going out shopping on Christmas Eve so I will still make my run this afternoon, but for once, there are no HAVE TOs on my list – which is a small miracle in itself…lol!
Do you go out on Christmas Eve or do you avoid it like the plague?
Most people I know dread it and avoid it at all costs. But me? Well, I love it. All the chaos going on around me really puts me in the spirit. Yes, I am weird, but there is something about it that I love. Now, I don’t go somewhere crazy like a mall or anything – usually just a local store or two… maybe the grocery store too this year since they are forecasting a possible white Christmas for those in the Atlanta area (another small miracle…I can’t recall ever having a white Christmas while living in Georgia).
We have the whole clan this year for Christmas morning this year, too, which makes me SO happy. All 4 kids, my awesome daughter-in-law AND the most perfect granddaughter in the world, my Hanna (and yes, our 2 cats, too). My daughter-in-law will also be bringing something special within her – our newest grandchild that is due in late April. We recently found out that it is a boy and I have to tell you that it so wonderful to know that my son is about to have a son of his own. Our youngest son is also VERY happy to have a new member to “the boys team”….haha!
If there was ever the makings for a perfect Christmas – this is it. It can be very challenging getting all of “ours” in the same room at the same time but I do believe we will pull it off this year…in our new house….. Saying that I am happy is a huge understatement!
Before I sign off and get to my hustle and bustle shopping experience followed by baking some cookies with the kids for Santa, I want to stop and remind each of you to focus on what really matters this holiday – each other…those you love. I know some of you might have a “rough” Christmas…this can be a tough time of year. I’ve been there a few times myself but there was always SOMETHING to be thankful for and there is for you, too.
Santa Claus is Coming To Town!
Santa has already begun his journey around the world and according to Santa’s Twitter update, he has already delivered over 786 million gifts!
You can track Santas progress on his Twitter account or on Santa’s Facebook page – or you can track Santa all over the world at NoradSanta.org.
Don’t know if you’re aware or not, but Google voice has a neat option where you can get Santa to call your child…. fun! I’m sure Santa is very busy right now, but maybe he can squeeze in the time to make a call =)
Otherwise, I wish each and everyone of you a wonderful Christmas full of happiness and joy. Above all, be safe.
I’ll be back to work the 2nd week of January – and I’ll be beyond ready to get back into the swing of things…hope you will be too!
All the best to you and yours,
Jennifer

All I did was fumble about with so many options in the end just cancelled and went back to getting info from the waves of email that comes daily. Thanks
Jennifer,
I want to wish you and your family a Very Merry Christmas and a safe and Happy New Year, as well as all of your readers here.
Congratulations on your newest addition.
Thank you so much for all of your dedicated help and info throughout the year.
Merry Christmas to you and your family Jen and everyone else reading this.
I have to admit, when I was younger I used to start and end my Christmas shopping on Christmas Eve. I was a great power shopper. Only problem was, I would do this before going to work and my family got to unwrap their gifts in plastic bags.
I’m getting a little better now with online shopping, but I was still out shopping for my dad yesterday before having to leave and go home an hour away.
Cheers and merry Christmas from freezing Ireland Jennifer, have a great chrimbo and again a busy and prospers new year, Take care, Stephen.
Oh yeah, time is going by way too fast. Christmas 2010 is almost gone already, as quickly as it came. Sometimes I don’t even know why we are making our look even better than usually and try to prepare everything if it passed by so unbelievably quickly. It usually is quite worth it, isn’t it? Happy (belated) holidays! Hope you enjoyed your perfect Christmas.
Merry Christmas Jennifer to you and your family and a very happy new year and I wanted to tell you that this is the first month I have made money doing affiliate marketing (nearly $600) and this is down to you and your fantastic coaching. Thank you so much and all the best for 2011
Hi, Hope you had a Very Merry Christmas. Have a Very Prosperous New Year. I hope mine is too as I intend to subscribe to your course – once the holly and ivy has settled and I can concentrate properly! Wish me luck!
Kindest Regards
Dave Naylor
Merry Christmas to you too! This one’s coming in late because I somehow missed your email in my inbox and just saw it today :S
Anyways, hope you enjoyed Christmas in your new home!
I guess the question now is: what’s the plan for 2011? What are you going to do more of/less of? (might be an idea for a new blog post?)
I love going out on Christmas Eve! The people I meet are friendly and in the Christmas spirit (most of the time). Which makes Christmas one of my favorite holidays.
Happy New Year!
I like to shop the day AFTER Christmas! It’s fun to stock up on ribbon and Christmas cards 1/2 off!
I was reading one of your old blog posts about squidoo I am still hoping google picks it up.
btw happy new years (even though im late about it lol)
Yippe!! Enjoy the vacation.Come fresh in the New Year.
I love going out on Christmas Eve.. I must be weird too! Actually, I’ve found that around here so many people avoid the last minute shopping to the point where there are less crowds there on Christmas Eve than there are for the rest of the week leading up to Christmas, so if I have anything I need to do last minute.. I leave it to the VERY last minute!! Anyways.. hope you had a good one!!
