Seriously, why even bother making ANY web page if the number 1 source of traffic (Google) won’t send traffic to it? We are affiliate marketers. Our job is to create useful content online that recommends a solution to our readers (via our affiliate link, of course).
We don’t SELL – we get found and then we recommend. However, it doesn’t matter what we recommend as a solution to someone’s problem if we can’t found, right?
Now, we COULD work our tails off dropping links and Twittering our lenses to death in attempt to get SOMEONE to come see it… OR…

I made a new campaign last night because I came across something I wanted to try. It was about 3:30 am (yup, I’m a nightowl…lol). Awesome stuff – can’t say enough about the importance of competitive analysis and knowing what you’re getting into before you start.
Incidentally, it must be “Google indexing day” on our blogs (as if the similar theme wasn’t already enough! lol), and I have a new post there about why pages can be indexed, but not ranked.
When combined with your teachings of how Squidoo lenses can sometimes compete against each other, I think it makes for a very solid understanding of how all of this ranking business really works.

Excellent post Jennifer! I like that you emphasize keyword phrases, rather than simply keywords. You’ll attract a more interested visitor by zeroing in on what phrases people search for your content then if you try to compete with a single keyword.
Jen, I am curious. Do you know what the software uses to determine whether something is “easy” or not? Is it solely based on number of sites vs. search volume or do they take other things into account?

I’ll stick with the old fashion way for finding keywords for a while. I try my best to avoid re-occurring expenses.
I am curious about how you us USFreeAds however. Maybe you could make a post about this. I used to use it all the time when links were counted, but since have stopped. Maybe I am missing some vital traffic?

You made some good points there. I did a search on the topic and found most people will agree with your blog.
Also, make sure you are researching for misspelled words too. Often those a highly used in the search engines and most likely they are not optimized.

While the software does look enticing — the forced pre-subscription isn’t appealing. I have no problems discovering keywords that I can rank for, though — so that’s probably a difference.
If you’re going to check it out, you really need to be sure that you check it out in the weeks’ time, otherwise you’ll get charged 7-days from signup…
I bookmarked your link (not so easy — you disabled the right-click option), so when I have the chance, I’ll check it out with your referral.
Also — by disabling the right-click option, you’re also preventing users from being able to use the built-in spell checkers with Firefox & Google Chrome when they write comments such as these. I’m not sure about any others, though.

I’m not too sure about this proggy, heard lots of good and also bad things about it.
Jennifer, do you use it only for the keyword research part or also the other modules it contains?
Before paying hundred bucks per month, I’d like to clarify these the following things first:
1) getting lots of backlinks too fast will get your site sandboxed by google.
2) automatic submission to social bookmarking sites is against their TOS, therefore will get you banned.
3) with SENuke, it’s easy to get high rankings quickly…just to see them drop a few days afterwards just as quickly, because bookmarking sites etc. found your stuff being spam and took out their high PR-links…
4) spun articles (30% uniquness) will still be considered duplicate content
5) you should use unique article wizard for article submissions
Which of the above is true and what is BS?
Did you experience anything like sandboxing, seeing your website disappear from the results extremely quickly etc.?
I’d like to put the free trial to test, so I’d do some low competition keyword research and write like 10 articles first, getting pictures and a product from clickbank (or similar). Anything else I should do before starting the trial to make the most of it?
It would be really great if you could answer my questions, I’d honestly appreciate it 🙂

As an affiliate marketer and a SEO/SEM manager for several high ranking websites I can attest to the fact that finding the right keyword for any niche is the most important part of any campaign… Not just the singular first tier keywords but long tail second tier keywords and phrases as well. A second tier key phrase might not get you as many unique visits but they will get you a higher ROI. Because a second tier keyword will bring in more target traffic. Thus getting people that want to buy what you have to your webpage. And this is why you need to have a good keyword research partner behind you.

Usually Searching a niche market and keyword is Most Imp work as if you get wrong one, Your hard work will go no where. I always search for easy and effective ways of finding niche and less competition markets. Like the video, will use for searching my mext niche market.
