Easter Desserts That Travel Well – 24 Unique Easy Recipes To Make and Take
From super cute sweet treats, no bake desserts and last minute large batch dessert recipes to make ahead for a crowd, these Easter dessert ideas are all FAST to make… and are oh SO yummy!
My “go to” Easter desserts I’ve made in the past are:
Easter Rice Krispie Treats: Mix together rice cereal and melted marshmallows, then press into a baking dish. Add pastel-colored sprinkles or candy-coated chocolate eggs on top before the mixture sets.
Easter Chocolate Bark: Melt white or milk chocolate and spread it out on a baking sheet. Sprinkle with crushed candy eggs, pastel-colored M&Ms, and edible glitter. Let it set in the fridge before breaking into pieces.
Easter Cookies: I can’t even count ALL the ways I’ve made Easter cookies over the years, but each batch seems more fun than the previous!
Easter Pistachio Dessert: Always a crowd-pleaser at ANY Easter event I take this to – especially at our church potluck!
How to make Easter Pistachio Dessert –
Ingredients:
- 1 cup flour
- 1/2 cup pistachio nuts
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1 stick butter
- 1 8oz pkg cream cheese
- 1 cup confectioners sugar
- 8oz cool whip
- 2 packages pistachio instant pudding
- 3 cups milk
Directions:
- Mix flour, nuts, sugar + butter with pastry cutter.
- Spread on 9×13 pan.
- Bake 10-15 mins at 350.
- Cool in refrigerator.
- Cream ON REVERSE the confectioners sugar, cream cheese, and half of cool whip.
- Spread on crust.
- Prepare 2 packages of pudding with 3 cups of milk.
- Pour over top of cream cheese mixture.
- Top with rest of cool whip.
- Chill in refrigerator.
Easter Bunny Pudding Cups: Prepare instant pudding and divide it into individual cups. Top with crushed cookies for “dirt” and add gummy worms, bunny-shaped candies, or edible flowers.
Easter Fruit Pizza: One of my favorite large batch desserts to make every Easter!
How to make Easter Fruit Pizza:
Ingredients:
Crust –
1 Cup flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 Cup unsalted butter
1/4 Cup powdered sugar
Filling –
1-8 ounce cream cheese
1/3 Cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
Glaze –
1 Cup pineapple juice
1/2 Cup sugar
1 teaspoon lemon juice
2 Tablespoons crownstarch
Directions:
– Mix crust ingredients.
– Press onto 9×13 or pizza pan.
– Bake at 325 for 15 minutes.
– Cool.
– Mix filling ingredients.
– Spread filling on cooled crust.
– Place 3-4 types of fruit on top.
– Mix glaze ingredients in pan.
– Cook until thick.
– Pour glaze over fruit.
– Refrigerate.
Easter Marshmallow Pops: Skewer large marshmallows on sticks and dip them in melted chocolate. Decorate with pastel-colored sprinkles or drizzle with colored candy melts.
Easter Bunny Popcorn: Mix air-popped popcorn with melted white chocolate and pastel-colored sprinkles. Spread on a baking sheet to set before breaking into pieces.
Strawberry Lemonade Cake: – This cake tastes just as good as it looks (maybe better!) So light and refreshing – perfect for Spring!
Note: this is NOT a “20 minute dessert” – but it’s definitely worth a mention. I’ll put the recipe in the list below.
Easter Cheesecake Bites: Use store-bought mini cheesecake bites and top them with Easter-themed decorations like pastel-colored sprinkles or small chocolate eggs.
Easter Jello Cups: Prepare different flavors of Jello and layer them in clear cups. Add a dollop of whipped cream and top with pastel-colored candies or fruit.
