I started making money online using all free methods. However, that was back in 2007. Is it STILL possible to make money online for free? Do those type of strategies still work? Let’s talk about that – and talk about why TODAY is such a special day for me (and hopefully for you too)!
Making Money Online the Free Way
Wayyyyyy back in 2007, I discovered I could make free little web pages and make money from them.
Now, THAT was a moment for me. I ran with it and never looked back.
Can you still make money online using all free methods?
Yes, you absolutely can!
Today is a super special day for me.
Exactly 4 years ago on October 1, 2008, I announced my One Week Marketing Action Plan to the world.
Now, back then, the “world” meant about 46 blog readers and my 2 cats (and I really don’t think those cats ever even LOOKED at One Week Marketing…lol!)
But my personal action plan of using all free methods to make money online was out there – and it has had an amazing four year run.
So many people have told me that they finally had their first success making money online “the One Week Marketing way”.
I can’t tell you how great that feels to hear that something you put out there has made a difference in someone’s life.
Just awesome!
However, all good things must come to an end.
As of today, October 1, 2012, the original One Week Marketing Action Plan no longer exists.
It’s now gone down in my history to make room for something new…and something I am very excited about.
Many of you may have noticed how quiet I have been for the past months.
I’ve been working on something that has been a true labor of love – and today, I am excited to tell you about it.
You see, in the past 4 years, I have learned a LOT about this businesses…
I’ve also had a lot of changes in my personal life as well.
Heck, we’ve gone from this back in 2008:
To THIS now in 2012 (yes, I needed a much bigger dinner table for when we all get together!)
I’ve been blessed to have our kids grow up healthy and productive. My son got married and I now have an amazing daughter-in-law and TWO phenomenal grandchildren as well.
We’ve moved to a new home… my husband started his own business… lots of great things have happened.
We’ve all grown (and aged…ugh) My business and knowledge has also grown and I’ve learned SO much that I want to share with others.
I also wanted to offer something that was truly “newbie friendly” and could take someone from where I once was (broke and clueless) all the way to whatever they want their online business to be.
A simple update to One Week Marketing or a few “tweaks” to the One Week Marketing pdf action plans simply was NOT going to cut it.
I wanted to offer more… a LOT more.
I want to help even more people get started online AND make it work.
That’s a tall order, let me tell ya.
So I set out to work and began putting all this together – and it’s been some serious work which I have to admit, I have loved doing.
It’s been months and months in the making and it’s been amazing watching it all come together into what I envisioned.
I also brought in 2 other teachers who are also doing great making money online using free methods so they can share their techniques and strategies as well.
It’s like THREE all new training courses in ONE!
Thing is – this is not a bunch of pdfs you just download and read anymore – this is a full-blown membership site with tutorials, new action plans, videos, campaign walk-thrus, tools, bonuses and so much more.
And it’s all designed to take you from the very beginning as a complete newbie and grow along with you at your own pace.

1. Do buyers of your original One Week Marketing pdfs get in free?
Free? No…I’m sorry…but hear me out, ok?
Those that chose to be on the ‘old’ One Week Marketing Members email list have known about my new training center since Thursday. That email list is the only way I’ve had to get in touch with those folks – if you weren’t on that list, I had no way of letting you know.
Those on that list received a very healthy discount rate to join the new Training Center.
If you bought the ‘old’ OWM pdf package and would like to join the all new Training Center, please stop by my Help Desk and we’ll work something out for you.
I’m a very flexible and understanding person so I promise we’ll do all we can for you.
2. Why don’t previous OWM customers get it free?
This is a big question and I want to answer this as clearly as I can.
This is not a little “update” or “tweak” to the old OWM pdfs – this is all new in an all new training center that has MUCH more than the original OWM guides. PLUS, there are 2 OTHER courses in there as well as video training and bonuses and tools.
This is NOT the original OWM.
I very well could have taken down the original OWM and put this new training up as a totally different product (which I considered doing).
But, I didn’t want to do that out of pure respect for my affiliates who have worked so hard over the years getting their aff links out there and working to promote.
If I take it down, their links break – and that simply is not a cool thing to do to people who have worked so hard.
I’ve had vendors do that to ME and it’s …well, it’s just not cool.
I’m doing all I can to make this work for everyone involved. No matter what day I picked to make this switch, I am sure it won’t be the perfect day for everyone. So – today is the day and we’ll do all we can to make this a smooth transition for everyone.

Hi Jennifer,
I am one of the original One Week Marketing Guide students and to this day I still use many of the techniques in that guide. I am ashamed to admit that I do not always follow the plan exactly but I will say that when things stop working, I always come back to your techniques because I know they work.
When I saw you had updated OWM, there was no way I was going to let it pass without me getting my hands on this information too. For the last 2 to 3 days I have been buried in the new OWM for 2012 and loving it just as much as I did the first time. Grant it, I know more now than I did way back then, so it is easier to follow along but this is still easy for a complete beginner; so you shouldn’t let that stop you at all.
I would be more than happy to provide a testimonial once I am completely through the training. I could probably give you one now, but I won’t until I have finished going through it all.

Cindy it’s up to you how much you can make, but since you just lost your job if I were you I would give the priority to finding another job fast. Only in some rare occasions that you’ll start making money with Jennifer’s training off the bat. Normally it takes several weeks before you start making money, let alone replace your job income.
Good post I like to mix things up between paid, and free traffic sources.
I guess you have to ask yourself these 2 questions.
How much time do I have to invest in my business? How much money do I have to invest in my business?
There are tons of free ways to promote your business. The more time you put into your business using free traffic methods, the more you will get out of it.
Social networking strategies are a great way to drive free traffic with sites like Facebook, Googleplus, Pinterest, and Linkedin.

Hello! Way back in Oct 2010 I stumbled across affiliate marketing! I buckled down and worked very hard to learn how to make a blog! A huge learning curve! ..but it was winter in Saskatchewan (Canada) and I don’t play hockey. Spring come and with it, no success with the blog building let alone any sales. So I put it on the back burner ( but I always Dreamed about what I would do if I had just a basic online income stream) I’ve been a member of up to five different training sites since Oct 2010, and with each one, I think they will have the missing info I need for online success. They all had good information, video tutorial’s and a support desk. But they just didn’t work for me or the way I learn. I stumbled across an article last week about “Why determination trumps natural talent in affiliate marketing” and felt like you wrote that just for me! Today is Oct 1st 2012 and started my “One week marketing” course this morning! I Printed out this Quote “If you are willing to do for a year what others won’t, you can spend a lifetime doing what others CAN’T” and taped it right in front of me! I truly believe in your training program. So I would like to say thank you Jennifer!

I been around the block quite a bit. In fact, I went 1 full circle going into various IM money scheme with promises that this is suitable for newbies and will work for them. Guess what, none did and a lot of them make empty promises.
With Pot Pie Girl, OWM, this is different. I went with my gut feel to buy this although mentally, I got tired of buying products that promises you a workable solution but at the end of the day, it did not…
I am super relieved to find out after the purchased that this was exactly what I need. The product were exactly like its sales page. In other words, the truth. It is also very suitable for newbies and for the first time, I am super excited over a course so much so that I went to bed at 11.30pm and got up at 3.40+ just to continue reading it. I haven’t finished the course yet as I have to go to my day job but I am putting everything else on hold after work and will start OWM later tonight.
OWM renewed my desire to get this IM thing working for me.
I keep you updated on how my progress but I got a feeling that this will work for me.

I bought the original OWM and felt like the information in there was pretty good. However, I have had the new program since Friday and I am totally blown away. It is a very thorough program and very easy to follow. What impresses me the most though is that it looks like you are making a real effort to keep the content fresh. You have outdone yourself Jennifer, and I only have myself to blame if I don’t make any money.
Oh and the contributions by Gary and Logan are just awesome too!
Have started this training and am thoroughly enjoying it. I bought the original OWM when I first stated in affiliate marketing and it gave me the leg-up I needed to make sense of it all. This takes the training to a whole new level and I actually can’t wait to do more studying. I’m loving this.

1. Jennifer puts everything in a simple step by step way that leaves nothing out and that even I can easily understand.
2. If you have a computer and an internet connection, you can start making money without spending one cent.

I am new to affiliate marketing been interested maybe about a year now. I have bought only 3 programs that I couldn’t really afford but I gave it a try. Read all the information some was very useful some was all about shiney things, as you call them, and promoting only shiney things. I was not successful with the Make Money Online products. Anyway, I put it aside for awhile out of frustration and no money to put into the business. I came across your blog and have been reading only your information ever since. I almost bought One Week Marketing but had to wait for money reasons. I got alot of free information from your blog and Squidoo lens. That alone has inspired me to try again. You have a way of talking to beginners that gives them the ambition and desire to succeed. I was one of the lost ones on the original OWM, Squidoo was to complex and I didn’t have the time (I am retired now, so I have time). But I like the new OWM, and just to say that I am happy, I have completed the first five lenses. So we will see where I go from here, the program you have laid out is so much clearer and simple. It is a great program, some of the lenses i am passionate about and are easy but I will learn to do the less favoured things.

I have been a faithful student of yours for about 3 years now. I have followed your steps with the OWM Squidoo.com free stuff. And then I moved on to making sites and joining WordPress Goldmine. over the years I have occasionally come back to read your blog whenever you made an update. I never thought about removing my name from your list. Boy was I glad I didn’t!
When I received your email that you were opening your own OWM training center and we were given a special price, I jumped at the chance! I was learning how to make sites and I have about 10 of them out there, but my sales were still sporadic. I thought, “who better to get me back on the right path than the woman who was responsible for me making my first sales online?!”
I’ve sinced joined the OWM training center and am now actively reading thru everything. I am very interested in learning about how you have learned to change in the world of “panda’s” and “penguins”. It’s great to see a mother in such a busy family instill the true values of entrepreneurship, and what will make (real) money. I too am a head of a relatively large household and our youngest is 6. My wife and I are already conditioning them to grow into wise (productive) citizens of the future. We’re teaching them to become job creators, and not job seekers. I can tell that your home practices this and I want you to know that you (and your blog) is an inspiration to many.
I bought the old OWM two years ago and i am almost embarrassed to admit that I did not do much. I have finally found a broad niche (which can be divided into a lot of sub-niches) that I love and am implementing the old OWM. I will definately signup for the new one as soon as finances allow me. Thanks to Logan that I am in your latest course. I wanted to get his course which was a wso but as I put off buying it, it went out of my reach as its price spiraled. But then Logan did something very much right. He closed the wso and let everyone know that the course would be available with your course. I got on his notification list and got in early.
Thinking back I feel that what happened was to my ultimate good. Had I bought Logan’s wso then I wouldn’t perhaps have known about your new course or wouldn’t have gone for it because of the added cost. So thank you Logan!
Now I am not new to Squidoo. I am a member since its beginning and my first lens is still going strong for last five six years, sending traffic to my website almost everyday. After the first lens I almost forgot about Squidoo and it was because of Logan that I got interested in it again – this time for making money out of it as my first lens is mainly for getting backlinks and traffic to my site.
I had made efforts to make sales type of lenses also in the past but I failed at them and when I heard about your course I was very much interested. Actually I am not unfamiliar with your name also as I had heard about your course but never signed up for it.
Now I have started my journey with you purposely as a complete newbie learning what you teach without skipping anything. I stick to the modules I am working on and completing everything before going on to the next one. That is why I haven’t looked at Logan’s course even. I will go to it only after I have worked through the previous modules.
In the few days I am with you I have learned many things that I never knew specially about how to go about picking your products and what to do before starting a new lens. This is a beginning and I hope I will learn much more as I go on. I hope to write a testimonial for you even if I make a few cents from my first sale.

Jennifer I love reading your blog, because I am always learning something new, especially when it comes to making money online. You always provide many useful tools and I am looking forward to your training program too.
There are many, many places on the internet where people go to buy ‘money-making’ programs. There are whole Forums where people sell elaborate gadgets, sometimes at high prices. Maybe you ought to go on these Forums once in a while to clear the air. If you can do your thing at no cost, they will be very jealous…and far richer if they follow you.

Just came out of the training center looking for a place to thank you for an awesome job. The training tops anything I have seen out there and I have seen some good training. I am retiring from my j.o.b. at the end of November and what could be a scary thing is now an opportunity to concentrate on my marketing. This training center came along at the best time for me and has answered a lot of questions. Thank you so much for getting down to the nitty gritty of how to accomplish things rather than just throwing something up there and hoping that it sticks. That one little lesson plugged up a big hole in my IM training. Again, thanks
